P O P U P shop in Mill Valley !
Cargo, Olive, Army – Call them what you will, the greens of spring are soft, beautiful, and look great with everything you have in your closet from winter.
I love to see the excitement on our customers faces as they see the color trickling into the store in the later days of winter. Although black is slimming and timeless and goes with everything (ok, fine – black is great) and grey was EVERYWHERE this winter, we are all ready for a pop of color come springtime. We are seeing tons of pastels coming in: soft pinks, blues and greens. What I love is that all of these colors look great with our winter wardrobe of grey on grey on grey (on black). Here are a few of the olive greens that we have in store now, which conveniently look amazing with the bright purples and pinks of the scarves and accessories of spring.

Vince Mia flats in Flint. We are getting some great feedback about the comfort and versatility of these shoes. No fewer than three customers have returned to buy the same pair in another color!
Minnie Rose Cashmere Ruana poncho. A much welcomed twist on the classic Minnie Rose poncho, this one in Canteen (another great name for green this spring) features fringe edges. Some of the softest cashmere in the store, the Minnie Rose Ruana, which can be worn multiple ways, always is a best seller.
Adriano Goldschmied AG feather print jeans. These celebrate some of the two greatest things: white denim + cute print jeans.
J Brand Ready to Wear pink striped tank, Adriano Goldschmied AG ankle length distressed leggings in Olive. I love the combination of bright and girly on top, with the distressed olive jeans on the bottom.
Spring color palette: Soft greys, whites, lavenders, and silk prints.
Velvet by Graham and Spencer long jersey tee. This super soft, long tee is a great thing to throw on top of your spring and summer bottoms, be it white jeans, lavender leggings, or cuffed denim shorts.
J Brand cropped pants with zipper. I love these cropped pants from J Brand, and not just because they are the softest thing you may ever touch.
Whoever Isabella is, we’d like to thank her.

Elegant. Sophisticated. Simple. Classic. Practical. Chic. SPACIOUS. Lightweight. (We could go on forever, but will spare you the extra 15 minutes.) The Isabella tote from Australian designer Annabel Ingall is a different kind of “big bag”. With its minimal hardware and thin, luxurious leather … Continue reading
spring inspiration
Around California it feels like Spring. It’s hard to believe that it’s only the end of January. The warm lazy days remind me of time spent in Majorca off the coast of Spain years ago. Life seemed so easy and carefree. That feeling is translated into beautiful and effortless clothing for this spring season. We continue our love affair with stripes, soft pink hues, and retro inspired florals. In her 2014 spring collection, Isabel Marant shows us dresses that embody femininity, yet she pairs them with a black belt for contrast. Sjobeck follows suit with a beautiful silk floral dress, again we see the contrast in color.
Nicole Miller’s mix of florals, stripes and sequin shows us that fashion can be fun and we can think outside the box– even if it’s for one afternoon or evening. She channels the roaring 20’s with this gorgeous sequin dress.
Let’s not forget the smells of spring, Leila Lou being one of our favorites. All it takes is smelling this tropical perfume one time and you are hooked! Oh! and the beautiful and delicate peonies that begin to appear in February– the sight of just one can send me into a daydream of soft sand under my feet as I make my way to a hammock softly moving against the ocean breeze.
Enjoying the stripes (and weather) of 2014

While the polar vortex continues to envelope our snowy east coast, we are finding it hard not to look forward to spring – and of course the wonderful clothes that come along with it. Although purple, specifically “radiant orchid” was … Continue reading
Street Style : Leather Sleeves
They’re everywhere.

From Vince, to Theory, to Cynthia Vincent – many of today’s top designers are incorporating leather sleeves into their classic pieces, and we couldn’t be happier. This small touch adds just the right amount of edge to even the most classic look, like a black sweater or tee. Here are some of our favorites in the shop right now…
