It’s official- the opening of our second Carolina shop is in full swing! I’m feeling excited and nervous all at the same time. With our Grand Opening Celebration just ahead, I am looking forward to celebrating with friends and family while meeting the members of our community.
Friday and Saturday promise to be eventful. Nadine Berry of Siena B jewelry will join us Friday from 10-4 pm with her exquisite designs. Jamie Burnes of Theory will join us later Friday evening for our party.

Kelsey: We have to ask, are you as obsessed with Theory’s visionary, Olivier Theyskens as Carolina is?
Jamie: Haha! Almost. He is pretty cute and definitely has a personality to match!
K: What inspired this collection?
J: Our Spring 2013 collection encompasses classics with a modern twist, casual pieces with African sentiment and separates with a vintage nautical feel.
K: What from this collection inspires you?
J: The easiness of it, the don’t-have-to-think-too-much-in-the-morning part for sure. I love all of the silk blouses, especially the Sorcha blouse (which we did in 3 different fabrics – I want all of them!). It’s a very effortless collection and everything is easy to mix-and-match or pair back to denim.
K: We love to give our readers the inside scoop. What is something you can tell us about Theory that the average fashionista may not know?
J: Our CEO, Andrew Rosen, is at the office every single day. He is involved in nearly every aspect of the company in a very hands-on way. I think this is what makes Theory so successful after 16 years in business.
K: What upcoming trends can we expect to see?
J: For fall, there’s a huge influence of tailoring and clean lines, definitely a back-to-basics approach. We have some amazing outerwear in our fall collection too – oversized houndstooth car coats, leather motorcycle jackets and cozy shearlings, to name a few.
K: Are you as excited as we are about our Grand Opening?!
J: Yes!! Carolina is one of our favorite accounts. I couldn’t be happier for you guys! Congratulations!
